The Borough of Brooklyn Center for Arts & Technology has been honored at the District 79 FACE Recognition Ceremony for their commitment to delivering invaluable skills and lessons to students of CoopTech. Since the start of our six-week rotation in the classroom, we have been able to educate students in the I.T curriculum with lessons in financial literacy, resume-writing, Linkedin profiles, and interview preparations. These skills will be a reflection of their success when they land sustainable careers in I.T once they compete the program.
"Mr. Aaron Dean CEO, and Mrs. Carla Anderson, Educator from BobCatBrooklyn.org, play a crucial role in the success of our students participating in the Information Technology and Construction Trades programs at Coop Tech. As Career mentors, they offer one-of-a-kind guidance, personalized support, and encouragement to our students. Their soft skills programing assists our students in crossing over the bridge, overcoming obstacles to reach career goals and long-term employment opportunities. They foster motivation , leadership and invaluable resources which are essential to Coop Tech students. They are recognized for their dedication and impact and we honor them."
— Cherry-Ann Ferguson, Work-Based Learning Coordinator, CoopTech
